That model is a combo modem/router from what I have read. Did you change the settings in your router accordingly so they are not conflicting with each other?

Incidentally, that 100mbps that you see on your desktop computer pertains to the capability of your NIC card, not the actual internet connection speed. I use the verizon speed check but it can be flaky. »infospeed.verizon.net/speedtest/···500k.asp
Also I have noticed that my connection gets wacky at night with speeds all over the board. |

| Thanks for the speed check. looks like my one laptop on the wireless network is getting 1.7ish. I tried to follow those steps for bridging ect, but I must have messed up something as I lost my internet connection light and had to start fully over. Now I am back to where I was except it wont load the modem page 192.168.1.1 but I can load the netgear router manager page. Its been too long since I have set up a wireless network and I only understand so much from the other forums. |
