DI-524 and Windows Media Encoder 9 Setup

Well, I've been trying for two days to get it working. Without the router attached, I can broadcast anything perfectly but once I attach the router I can't anymore. I have set the virtual server and applications to forward the port 4153. And in WME, I have set it to PULL from encoder and I have set the port to 4153.

I have also set all the video, audio, compression settings. Now, I can receive the transmission on LAN on other computers by using the LAN IP 192.168.0.1xx and port 4153 to connect to but when I try to connect even via the Internet IP from within network it doesn't work. It also doesn't work outside the network when using the Internet IP.

It shows "Direct Connection Links"

Internet: »"Computer Name":4153/
LAN: »"Computer Name":4153/

Anyone know how to get the DI-524 working with Windows Media Encoder 9 to broadcast?

Thanks

Hmmm. This should work, I'm not sure what's going on. I've only done this within my LAN and through an IP tunnel (which appears like a LAN address).

In Status Log - Log Settings, make sure you have "Dropped Packets" marked. Then look at your log after a connection try. Do you see any other incoming packets from the client?

Does anything at all happen on the WME display? Any clues as to which point it is crapping out?

Ummm, when I enter the WAN IP in WMP or any other player it just has an error saying your content could nto be played because of a network error, please verify that you are connected to the network.

the log has no record of any dropped packets

btw, im using firmware 1.11 on a Rev. A1 DI-524

Have you had a friend from outside of your firewall try this?
