Re: VoipBuster SIP Settings Leadtek BVA8051

I'm not sure what your settings are... But here is what I am running on

SIP:

attempt DNS discovery first = unchecked
server address: stun.voipbuster.com
port: 5060
domain name: stun.voipbuster.com
send registration request = checked

line settings:
line1 = your voipbuster username
CID Name = your voipbuster username
SIP PORt = 5060
AEC On = ON
Username = your voipbuster username
password = your voipbuster password
Base RTP local Port 8000
Randomize SIP and RTP Ports = unchecked
Dial Plan = [2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xx.
So when I pick up my handset I can dial in this fashion:
USA Local & Long distance : xxx xxx xxxx
International : 011 + country code + area code + number

SIP EXTENSIONS
--------------
only check 'enable 18x early media' and 'allow early media to suppress ringing'
caller number length = 10 digits

OOB SIGNALING
-------------
Send out of band telephone events = none
uncheck all boxes
ABCD = transition

NAT TRAVERSAL
-------------
stun.fwdnet.net
port: 3478

check: use STUN for SDP

check: enable ICE

check 'send keepalive packets'
keep alive period = 15

i can't edit my post above - but the dial plan is wrong...

here is all you will need for an effective voipbuster dialplan

<:001>[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|<:00>x.T

It basically adds the country code "1" (for the US) if you dial a 10 digit US phone. I rarely dial non-US numbers, but if I do I will dial the country code by force of habit anyway.

If I dial the US country code by mistake, it doesn't matter either.

Mr. Patel,

does your BVA work fine with the settings of voipbuster that you have shown here? do you use a BVA firmware (AR 160) on a Packet8 DTA or you just use a BVA from leadtek?

When I used your settings I got the dialtone but I can't hear the other party talking.

Any help from you is much appreciated.

Are you sure about those settings? You're saying that the primary server is "stun.voipbuster.com"? Are you sure it's not "sip.voipbuster.com"? Can you double check the rest of those setttings?
