Re: The box

Then we take all of that, channel it into the FLUX CAPACITOR.

And that is what makes time travel possible.

...and the 6208 is a single tuner box as well and not a dual. Is Verizon using single tuners?

Well that user doesn't seem to know much about his equipment :P His DVR should be holding 80 hours of footage...not 30 unless everything is being recorded analog which obviously it shouldn't be analog at all.

All the Verizon box is, is a slightly changed 6412
It's probably a DCT 6208, not a 6412. The 6208 has an 80GB hard drive, unlike the 6412's 120GB.

Only other thing that would make sense for it to hold that little is if the digital tv is even higher bitrate then you would normally see, or if he is recording only HD content which of course takes up much more space

If the SD channels have less compression, then the 90hrs of SD could go down to 30Hrs, and the same w/ HD content. 120GB isn't that much room when you have low compression.

An integrated 120 GB hard drive lets you record up to an estimated 90 hours of standard digital TV or 12–20 hours of HDTV. You can maintain a personal library of your favorite programs to watch whenever it's convenient.
