I've even had unsubstantiated rumors of techs on calls to people's home stating comcast is coming in soon but you know how that goes. The other rumor I've heard is that Comcast is waiting for Louisville to be converted from POTS to VOIP before they take over because they dont want to deal with the FCC regulations that go along with POTS. Again that's just rumor. I do know for a fact that a good portion of the support center here in KY are all Temps that are getting no offers to be actual insight employees. If that doesnt scream company about to be taken over I dont know what does.

Again that's just rumor. Comcast provided the POTS to Insight for Louisville, Lexington, and Evansville until January 1 of 2005; before selling the switches to Insight. They also have another POTS switch in Detroit. The VOIP conversion will be a while out, as most VOIP switches are junk, but this is coming from a POTS switch tech.
