If you look @ the Company profile of Comcast Inc. it looks as is they are going to be selling properties and not aquiring them....... From what i see i believe Comcast Inc. will be selling some of the smaller properties and looking on building more properties in illinois.......... But i am just a little fish trying to get a worm. |

| I am an Insight employee. 5-10yrs exp. I read one of your earlier forums regarding comcast service. In the past 2 yrs I have seen Insight's service go into the toliet. We are now using contractors to do Installs. Big Mistake. We might as well invite Installers from Dish and Direct Tv to work in our system. Both groups provide the same poor quality work, and treat customers like crap.
With today being January 1st, The agreement between Insight/Comcast is done I was wondering if you had any new information regarding the Insight/Comcast deal. The company is not talking, and since we have gone private we are not going to hear from them. Personally It really bothers me, that they don't respect us enough to keep us informed as to what is coming. But that seems to be right in line with the way Comcast thinks. We seem to be adopting alot of Comcast's bad business traits. Rule #1 Bigger is better. Rule #2 Provide Customer service as long as it doesn't conflict with Rule #1
If you have any info, please send to k4kaster@yahoo.com Hope you have a prosperous 2006. |

I don't think anyone would deny that Insight is pleased to be using contractors. A contractor is considerably cheaper on the bottom line than a full-time employee. -- Captain of the ATU Tux Racer Clan. |

The contract just says that either Insight or Comcast can opt to release themselves from the remaining term of the contract. This could not be done any sooner than Jan 1, 2006 per the contract. For all anyone knows, and no one does till one or the other jumps, what is going to happen.
If Comcast does pull the trigger Insight has stated already that they will opt for the 6 month extension where neither parties can talk about the proposal, a cooling off period of sorts. Then after the six months is over they come to the table to hammer any details out and that is only if Comcast says they are done. Insight has already stated that they have no intention of releasing themselves from the contract that it will have to be Comcast doing it and Comcast can do it Tuesday or they could do it a year from now.
