Same reason why I gave up on BV. Outgoing calls which use your ISP, the internet, and then BV's SIP servers seemed to me to work fine. Incoming calls depend on a local CLEC in your area which receive the incoming call first, then the data to BV who then sends it to you. I had a horrible time with BV's local CLEC for me and few incoming calls worked. But you'll need to call BV for help. It could be a minor problem at the CLEC or perhaps at BV or even a setting in your SIP device. Do you know which CLEC gets your incoming calls? You might post their name for responses. XO Communications, Vonage's local CLEC in Sacramento, seems to have a great reliability record. Other local CLECs that serve other VOIP providers do not. |
