I like triple play but don’t practice what I preach.

Video= DirecTV, Two Receivers, Total Choice Plus w/Locals, HBO, TiVo ($68)
Voice= Verizon, Landline
Data= Time Warner, Road Runner Premium ($85)

My problem with triple play is no matter how you slice it, when you add in the phone part, it’s not worth it of me. We hardily ever use the phone and were on the pay per call plan. This month’s phone bill was high due to a 13 minute local long distance call I had with my second cousin on a computer related problem who lives in a different county. This month’s phone bill was a whopping $17.53, 37 total calls made. Oh by the way, that includes the $6.95 for Caller ID service. Usually our bill is sub $15.

Nice thing is with Road Runner there is no tax at all, and with DirecTV the only tax I pay is 21 cents on the $5 TiVo fee because it’s not a programming related change. I would never go VOIP in a million years, if I absolutely had to I’d go Time Warner Digital Phone, due to no 911 issues, battery back up and security system compatibility.
