It appears most of the help menu selections do not work. Instead they pop-up an error message [Look above]. I use
that menu to check for updates to Abi-Word.This error is
present in both 2.4.0 and 2.4.1 versions. |

For some reason when when you install the new version without uninstalling the old one this happens. |

I did that already ? I could do it again and see if it helps.
Edit:I uninstalled it and re-installed-same problem. |

Kailua Kona, HI | I did a temporary fix that made IE my default web browser.
That eliminated the error. The problem has something to do
with the Firefox installation program in regards to default
web browser. |
