| PAP2 settings for VBuzzer
Hello guys,
I successfully setup VBuzzer on my line 2. Here are the settings I used:
Line Enable: YES
SAS Enable: NO
SIP Port: 5080
Proxy: vbuzzer.com
Outbound Proxy: vbuzzer.com:80
Use Outbound Proxy: YES
User ID: (my vbuzzer user name)
Password: (my vbuzzer PW)
Dial Plan: (*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)
It is working nicely. I have only 2 problems:
1- The phone continues ringing if I don't answer the phone. I want the calls go to my voicemail after 4 or 5 rings; but I just couldn't make it.
2- You always have to dial first 1 to place a call. Even for the area code I live in (416), I have to dial 1416 and then 1234567
Do you have any suggestion? |

I have the same vmail problem, what I did was use the SIPURA forwarding feature to forward my calls to another sip service with Vmail after 4 or 5 rings
For issue number 2, you can edit your dial plan so you only need to dial 7 digits

Hi mrakyuz,
I also have VBuzzer set up on my PAP2 although I'm not using an outbound proxy. Seems to work just fine. As for the dialling local numbers, try adding this to your dial plan:
Ok, now the [89] represents the first digit of the local number in your calling area which can be (in my case) an 8 or a 9. Replace these numbers with whatever is appropriate for your calling area. For example: say that all local numbers within Toronto start with a 2,4,5,6 or a 9, you'd craft the first part of the dial plan as follows:
The second set of brackets [] represent the second digit in the phone number. This isn't necessarily required however in my case, all local numbers either have a 2 or a 4 as the second digit.
The string of x's following the bracketed numbers represent any numerical digit (0-9) which make up the balance of the local call. the 'SO' at the end means that the call should be sent 'Straight Out' on completion of dialling a local number.
Note: One number from each set of brackets + the number of x's in the string must equal the number of digits in a local call for you. For example, [9][2]xxxxx would equal a 7 digit local number. The reason for the brackets is that we want to try and make the dial plan as unambiguous as possible. If your tried dialling a local call where the first number wasn't mentioned in the first set of brackets, the dialling plan would disregard it as a local call.
Anyways, hope this helps and I'd be happy to clarify more if required.

About voicebox... I have FWD on line 1. When my FWD phone rings for the 5th time, it stops ringing and goes to the voicemail. I believe, there is something wrong with Vbuzzer itself. It doesn't go to voicemail at all, unless if I only use the vbuzzer softphone.
When I use SJphone softphone with Vbuzzer, I chose an option about "ignore call". In the empty space, I write down 20. So, when my Vbuzzer account online with SJphone, if I get a call, after 20 second, SJphone ignoges the call. In that, the call goes to the voicemail.
If SJphone has an ignoring option, I believe PAP2 must have an option like that too. Maybe not:huh:
Can you suggest me something about both problems?

Try copying and pasting the dialplan below and let me know if you still have problems. There was an error in the one I gave you earlier the 1416 should come after the :

Now, I can dial only 7 digits; but what about 10 digit callings? I can't use 10 digit callings. I have the above settings you meantioned. I thought 1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0 part will allow me to dial only 10 digits, but it is not.
Can you suggest me another way where I can also make 10 digit calls.

1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0 means you're dialing 11 digits e.g 1416-123-4567 doesn't this work? so when you say 10 digit dialing what do you want to dial? Are you dialing a number in US/Canada? |

Yes.
US and Canada calls. For example, when I need to call New York, I need to dial 11 digits like 1212-123 4567. But I would like to make 10 digit calls like 212-123 4567 or 613-123 4567 or even 416-123 4567.

OK, I got it...
Here is the settings
(*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|[0]xxxxxxxxxx|xxxxxxxxxx|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)
With this settings, for US and Canada, I can make 11, 10, and even 7 digit calls. Also I can call my country (Turkey, international code is 90) with 12 digits. For example, if I dial 0-212-123 4567, it dials 011-90-212-123 4567.
Isn't it great to set up your own dialling plan?

FYI unless the provider is doing abbreviated dialing your dialplan as shown is not working. The critical parts are the substitution entries which may be suppressed in your posting since they use angled brackets e.g.

Here is my last dial plan for Vbuzzer:
(*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xx xxxx|[0]xxx xxx xxxx|xxxxxxxxxx|xx xxx xxx xxxx.|*xx*xx.)
I can make 7, 10, and 11 digit dialling for North America. I can even call my country, Turkey (+90), with only 12-digit dialing. I just use the same way that people use to call eachother in Turkey. NO MORE 011 +90 dialing.
