When I dial 800 numbers it's working fine. But when I dial regular numbers it's connecting. But disconnecting after 20 seconds. Also I am hearing a busy tone on my end when I am on the call for those 20 seconds. Any clue what's going on? |

| reply to ra7 said by ra7 :Are there any other dial plans for DTA-310 to use with callpacket. The one posted in the thread is not working. I can't make any outgoing calls. Can somebody post their dial plan. Thanks, ra7 Try using Z.T for your dial plan. If that doesn't work, then try Z.# and hit # after you dial your number.
If either of the above work, the problem is with your dial plan.
If both don't work, the problem is not with your dial plan.
You can double check that what you dialled was sent by looking at the call details for the last call. -- $100 placed at 7 percent interest compounded quarterlyfor 200 years will increase to more than $100,000,000 --by which time it will be worth nothing.- Lazarus Long |

1 edit | reply to voipuser4 Can someone post their config for a SPA-2000/SPA-3000? I haven't been able to get it to work with either adaptor. I get a fast busy signal instead of dial tone and incoming calls go to voice mail. Thanks! I'm having the same problem with dta-310 except for calling the toll free numbers are fine. |

join:2001-12-04 East Falmouth, MA | reply to mik80 The SPA-3000 can only handle one incoming SIP and one incoming POTS line. You would have to set up CallPacket on line 1 to receive calls, but then you wouldn't be able to get incoming calls for voipbuster. |

| reply to wesm Answered my own question: CallPacket supports RFC2833 DTMF mode (hooray!), and this works fantastic. Call quality has been great for me; I can call DirecTV and use their IVR (via redialing out through my PBX) as well as call 1-800-555-TELL and it understands what I'm saying. -- Do not meddle in the affairs of sysadmins, for they are easy to annoy and have the root password. |

| reply to gatzdon Has anyone gotten inbound touch tones to work? I can call my Asterisk PBX, but entering numbers has no effect. DTMF mode is currently set to "inband," any luck with the others? -- Do not meddle in the affairs of sysadmins, for they are easy to annoy and have the root password. |

I've noticed that the call detail takes a while to update, but eventually it appears (next day?). BTW calling toll-free numbers (800, 888, etc.) count against your 100 free outbound minutes. |

said by voipuser4 :Can someone post their config for a SPA-2000/SPA-3000? I haven't been able to get it to work with either adaptor. I just got my callpacket activated a few minutes ago, and it worked (for outbound) on the first try. However, since I currently have them on a "gateway" field on my SPA-3000, I haven't yet tried inbound. Here's what I did to get things going:
1) Log into the CallPacket dashboard, and then go to: Phone and Feature Management => My IP Phone Config. That will list ALL the settings you need.
NOTE: The above web page asks you about your adapter, so that it can "push" the needed settings. But personally, I didn't let it push anything, and just used the listed settings on that page to manually configure my SPA-3000!
2) For my "Gateway 4:" field, I entered the value listed for my "SIP Username" @ the value listed for "SIP Proxy" (i.e. "cp000xxxxx@voip.callpacket.com", where xxxxx were actual digits I've "blanked out" from showing in this forum).
3) The value of my "GW4 Auth ID:" is just my "SIP Username" (i.e. "cp000xxxxx" (again with the last 5 digits not shown here, but actually entered into my SPA-3000).
4) "GW4 NAT Mapping Enable: yes"
5) And finally "GW4 Password:" got the value of the "Sip Password" shown on that web page.
6) For a dial plan to allow CallPacket outgoing calls, I just used: NOTE: I picked "#2" as my CallPacket dialing prefix, because 2 is the "C" key.
7) Saved the above settings.
8) Rebooted the adapter (as Sipura adapters sometimes don't actually have new settings "take" until after an adapter reboot).
9) Tested it by dialing a number as follows: "#2 11-digit-number #". Sure enough, I reached "11-digit-number" on the first try. Logged into my CallPacket dashboard, and I now only have 99 free minutes remaining.
NOTE: The dashboard seems to show free minutes remaining, but doesn't appear to update/show which numbers you called. |

| reply to gatzdon voxilla allows you to use their wizards to configure your device on your terms. Could someone confirm (as I have only used it once) that there would be no ill effects if someone were to use voxilla's wizards to configure their device for FWD over Proxy. Once that is working acceptably, I would make the changes identified so many times in this thread and change nothing else.
This is not a guarantee that it will get you working on callpacket, but it has worked for me to resolve unknown configuration issues because I didn't understand some of the settings, therfore didn't know how to adjust them or if adjustment is even needed. -- $100 placed at 7 percent interest compounded quarterlyfor 200 years will increase to more than $100,000,000 --by which time it will be worth nothing.- Lazarus Long |
