Packet8 will not work on Dialup because It dosent use a softphone. I might work if you get a modem and hook it up to a router. I would work unless it is assigned a DHCP Ip address. |

Miami Beach, FL | With dialup one may use a software router, the free ics provided with windows xp, or a 3rd party one. It is then possible to use a voip service like packet8 if one uses the g.729 codec. This isn't always very successful, however.
