[SunRocket] Sunrocket known gizmo issue. Any one has a soution

For last several weeks, I was having issues with my internet browsing. Because my cable modem was pretty old, I first thought it was a modem related issue. After buying a new modem and paying comcast to come home to troubleshoot (60$ + 55$) I finally found it was an issue with the gizmo. Gizmo obstructs some internet traffic to flow through. For me more than one in two pages result in page cannot be displayed error. So, surocket's solution is to use the gizmo inside the network (i.e. connected to the router instead of modem). Sunrocket's rep casually said, it is a known issue and just said, connecting gizmo to the router will fix it.

So my question is, did any one else face this issue and were able to resolve it? how?

Also, how much quality reduction will be there because of using sunrocket connected to the router (no QoS)? Did anyone has experience with this type of set up?

You lose QoS when you connect the gizmo directly to the router. However, in most cases you don't need QoS anyway. So, try plugging the gizmo into the router, turn it on, and see what happens. There should be no degradation of quality at all. Of course it depends on your broadband connection, but the typical high-speed sold today gives you at least 384k upload speed which gives you plenty of room to make it work well from your router.

FYI, to the last question whether anyone here has experience with router setup: The overwhelming majority of Sunrocket users here have just that setup.

Try it out. Chances are it works fine for you.

I have exactly the same problem. Look at

I emailed Sunrocket and very soon (after about 10 days) I've got a reply saying that they are sorry for the delay and if I still have problem I should call them instead of emailing.
Meanwhile I've connected gizmo behind an old router and it works, however the outgoing voice is choppy, but my PC is getting speeds that I could not remember for a long time.
So I ordered Linksys router that can be set up with QOS and it should arrive today.

Thank you for both you guys.
I have set up my gizmo behind the router. It works fine except for a slight degradation on outbound voice. But my internet speeds are back what they were before I setup sunrocket.
