Just got Verizon Dsl 3mb package. SLOW! DL@15 kb

My upload speed is around 70 kb/s but when i download something its downloads at 15 kb/s. It so weird that i can upload faster than i can download. Verison CSR told me to this and that and nothing worked. I have like 5 ticket help number and noobdy ever resolved it. I truly think DSL sucks. I still have cable and it is ten time faster and better. then when i try to cancel Verizon they try to help me and then put me on hold and then i hang up cause it takes to long. Whats up with verizon. Hopefully there fios will come through

Perhaps you can give us more information about your setup? »Tweaking FAQ »What information should I post with my question?. That would really help.

first off, djpeetur, have you done the tweak test here? if you haven't adjusted your rwin/made sure your mtu is right, etc. the problem may well be on your end. dsl doesn't "suck"; obviously, it is not normal to be getting a 15 kb. download. and 70 is ridiculously low for an upload as well. indicating severe problems, not a normal dsl speed. do the tweak test and post results, along with the other info bleek suggests.

to cancel verizon dsl, dial customer service and, at the voice prompt, say "cancel dsl". you will get retention, who will take your order to cancel, or may well suggest connecting you to a higher level tech who can help. good luck.
