Re: Free voice over ip conference for up to 15 per

If you mean that you have VoIP service and just need a conference bridge you can use on an ad hoc basis, see this page:

Note that by dialing any one of the Michigan numbers shown (if you're calling from out-of-state I'd suggest using the number in Southfield or perhaps Pontiac), you can call IAXTel, SIPphone, or Free World Dialup users, OR you can dial 00 and then a four digit conference number (any four digit number will do, but obviously all your participants have to use the same one) and you will get thrown into the conference bridge. In case you're wondering, all those Michigan numbers connect to the same system so if any of your participants are in Michigan they can use an access number local to them and it still goes to the same conference bridge.

Just remember, though, that this isn't exactly secure - anyone could call in and join your conference if they happen to guess your four digit number.

ianicmary can use the service for free, then pay me what they think it's worth. Or they can sign up for Nuvio, and get the best VOIP service. Maybe I should have bundled that -- sign up for Nuvio and get free teleconferencing... darn, too late to edit... missed the opportunity....

He he he! Nice post, Rocky. But they did say they didn't mind paying for it...

Here's a very off the wall suggestion, but you might consider online-gaming software such as teamspeak.

Of course, this is a computer-to-computer style solution.

You want free? and you expect it to work well because you have some business deal riding on it? but you don't want to pay for it. is that right? you want a free ride. someone should go to the effort to build a conference call service, and invest in processors and phone lines and bandwidth and support mechanisms, and you don't want to pay a penny. is that right? and if it doesn't work right, you'll want to complain...and you'll require some type of compensation if it doesn't work right because you couldn't accomplish what you needed to get done because of something that is their fault that you don't want to pay for. is that it? »www.freeconferencecall.com/

I am sure this would cost no matter which way you go.

You could setup an Asterisk box, and if everyone had FWD accounts, you could probablly do it free, if you had enough bandwidth to spear.
