[modem/router] Versalink router DMZ

Has anyone in this forum figured out how to setup DMZ on this router. I am having a hell of a time trying to put a VOIP adapter into DMZ.

No, wrong. Every port is from 0 to 65535. PORT NUMBERS (last updated 28 October 2005)

The Versalink router is a PITA. Go to configuration and single static IP. choose your VOIP adapters IP from the list and enable. While the router is rebooting make sure the VOIP adapter is setup for dhcp. When router boots back up reboot VOIP adapter and your good to go.

Thank you. I believe I've entered the DMZ zone. Now lets see if my calls improve as P8 says they will. And now my Versalink firewall is set at high with a working phone. No more Zone Alarm hogging my resources. Thanks again.

Back to no joy in mudville.:( Setting ssip works for only 24 hours. When my router is given a new wan ip the DTA looses contact with the router or internet, I don't know which. Then I have to reset the DTA to enable contact.:(:(

The 327w is a piece of junk. I highly recommend (again) putting it into bridge mode and finding a Real Router (TM) that will do what you want, the way you want.

Oh well,I am back to the Versalink firewall off and using Zone Alarm software firewall. At least the DTA voip adapter dosen't show up in the Zone alarm list so I guess the DTA bypasses this firewall. That should satisfy the P8 people who request no firewall for thier device.
