[SunRocket] Did they change the free phone type?

A few days ago, I happened to notice that the SunRocket home page had been modified slightly - the biggest change was the color of the LCD screen on the picture of the free Uniden phones...for several days there it was green. Now its back to orange like it used to be.

I have a 5.8Ghz phone system with the green colored LCD screen, so did they change to a 5.8Ghz free phone?

I specifically asked them if they had a 5.8 system to offer instead of the 2.4 when I signed up...just to cut down on the amount of interference...they did not at the time - anything change?

So are you saying that SR gave you those 5.8Ghz phones?

I saw the phone change on their website and was wondering about the phone offerings as well. That is pretty cool if you got hooked up with 5.8Ghz phones (and they work well).

No I did not get the 5.8 from SR. I already had a Uniden 5.8 system, so I asked SR when I signed up if they had a 5.8 to offer instead of the 2.4 - they did not. I got the 2.4, which I use upstairs away from my router and microwave!
Just wondering if anyone else saw the change on the website and if it meant anything...

Re: [SunRocket] Did they change the free phone type?

A few people were discussing this in the following thread:
»[SunRocket] SunRocket Free Phones ending October 31st?

They determined that the phones are still 2.4's.

yeah the orange screened ones were on backorder nationwide, they said the green screen ones were $120 phones as opposed to the $80 for the orange ones (or at least that's how the rep I spoke with explained it to me). However, we got our gizmo with no phones, called them up and they explained we'd be getting the green ones and were sending them out that day, but ground, we got a bit annoyed, called back and asked that they send them overnight since they didn't tell us that we weren't getting the phones with the gizmo, they did overnight the phones and we ended up getting the orange ones. I did some research and the green ones aren't very common and really I didn't notice any huge feature difference in the two sets.

I just assumed that the green ones were all 5.8 and the orange ones were all 2.4...maybe that's not the case...
