Re: ZyWall 2 - Firmware WK.12 released

Ping check is normally used to test WAN link before failover to dial-up or another LAN gateway (or WAN2 for dual WAN routers).

Re: ZyWall 2 - Firmware WK.12 released

Should be same for Zywall 2. The info I supplied is true for zw5/35/70.

Re: ZyWall 2 - Firmware WK.12 released

Not in the plans as far as I am aware. The only changes to the zyWALL 2, 10W, 30W etc would be bug fixes.

Re: ZyWall 2 - Firmware WK.12 released

Really no need for V4 on a Z2 as it has no port rolls, DMZ/WLAN, doesn't have a slot for a turbo card and simply doesn't have enough memory to support any new features. They even downgraded the Z5 to a max of 4000 connection to get some of the memory back so it could run V4.

As long as all the feature work on the Z2 it is good where it is.

Re: ZyWall 2 - Firmware WK.12 released

I agree with Shootist. The new interface is nice, but it really isn't needed. As long as ZyXel still provide us with bug fixes, it's fine by me.
