... well well well, must be my lucky day ... I finally got in touch with a very nice supervisor in Alabama who knew what I was talking about ... she managed to get in touch with the right people and now it seems I'm on Fastpath - total time, about an hour (35 min or so on the phone, and a call back in less than a half-hour to tell me it was done ! ... I didn't even have to re-boot the modem ... let's see if it makes a measurable difference ...
... fourth time is the charm ...
