After tweaking a bit, it's not too shabby.

I'm probably not going to keep it more than a month or two. I just wanted to test Extreme out with a "non-Approved" modem so the Linksys would not get the bad press it's been getting for not being on the recommended modems list.

My gear consists of a Linksys befcmu10 v4 & a Linksys BEFW11s4 v4(1.50.14 FW). I have notice inconsistent speeds ranging between 6000 & 11000 while connected to router. This router has been giving me a consistant 6100/845 with Premier tier 6000/768. Now with Extreme, upload is 1600 with router, but download suffers. Time to go out and replace the router with a Linksys WRT54G.

johkal, that is amazing speed. I have that same cable modem (actually bought it at your recommendation a while back) and am loving it.
I too am on Premier and consistently get 6100-6500/850-880K.
I'm going to be updating my Adelphia review very soon, as I come up on my first month of service from them (with new line ran). |

While you're at it, hob, couldja' upgrade my Comcast area so I can go as fast as that cat? I don't really need that much speed to browse the net and do e-mail, but I just hate it when johkal has something I don't have.
