[XP] Remote Desktop problem on wired computer

I'm am at a loss with this problem. It has started just recently and was working great for a LONG period of time. No major changes to the PC (i'm the only user) and just recently UNINSTALLED Windows OneCare Live.

Computer 1 is hard wired to network via LinkSys WRT54G Wireless Router. Every other computer has no problem with remote desktop (internal and external) with proper port forwarding but Computer 1 will not allow a remote desktop connection. It can send out a connection but not receive.

I have tried repairing network connection, disabling firewall, enabling and proper exceptions, releasing ip, renewing ip, removing adapter, reinstalling adapter, restarting, etc. EVERYTHING has been tried.

Please help!

Any chance your running NAV 2005 worm protection on that PC? That has been reported to kill RDP connections...

Otherwise see this page for some troubleshooting help...

Just an FYI: I found the source the problem.

I was approved a couple months ago to be a OneCare Live Beta Tester. I installed the program and used it for a couple of months. I suppose just recently it updated and reset settings to default (only allow local network remote connections and do not allow ICMP packets). When I uninstalled the program, these settings weren't reset to WINDOWS default so I could not remote desktop nor could I ping my main machine. I had to reinstall OneCare and report the bug to Microsoft. I'm curious to see what they say.
