XO or Lvel 3? opr both? Just curious as if I were to sign up with them, what number I could potentially get. I already know where to lok up the numbers, just need to know who provides the numbers.

3 edits | Nah, just hoping to get a (718) 208, 593, or 502 number. Those numbers are serviced by Level 3 and are in Rate Centers available for 718 , and I have had 208-48** with Packet8 and 208-46** with AOL Voip. I just want a number I can keep for a long time, that feel confortable to me.
I will be signing up with Vonage in a few weeks. Hopefully I can take my number from AOL Voip, even though it's no longer provisioned to me. I still get a dial tone, but can't make calls or get them.

| dial tone comes from the adaptor, not from the VOIP provider. If your numbers are turned off at AOL, and you want to keep it/them, you'll have to reactivate the account at AOL so that the number will be portable.
If your heart is set on Level 3 numbers, you should call Vonage customer support and ask them. If you get a bad answer, send me a PM and I'll ask Nuvio (which uses Level 3) to reserve one special for you! Nuvio does have a policy to release their assigned number should you wish to take it elsewhere. |
