| [Services] So many problems with bellsouth
I have had pretty good luck with bellsouth in the past, i lived on the city limits of my small town and had dsl xtreme 3meg for a while with no problems. Well katrina came along and during the recoving process our generator caught on fire and burned our house down.
So... we moved to one of our houses that we were building to sell in the middle of town. The bellsouth office is down the street from us. after waiting for 3 months, they finally came and hooked our phone up by mistake, it wasnt supposed to be hooked up till dec 12th.
I now have dsl ultra and would like my xtreme back, but after several attempts to upgrade they give me any answer in the book not to give it to me. They have run line tests saying i qualify and everything.
I am tired of dealing with people from a different country who do not even know where mississippi is. Does anyone have a mississippi technical support number or person i can contact so i can speak to someone like me. I just would like a logical reason why i cant get dsl xtreme after i moved to the middle of town from the outskirts of town. |

| Just call the billing department and tell them you need a US based tech person. They can transfer you to someone close by. That's the only way I will contact BS tech support ever and they have never failed to connect me to someone either in Ga., Fl., or La. |

| reply to andrewparker your line may not have been hooked up by mistake. Many orders that were given due dates in December due to hurricane damage are being worked early. This is provide service to those displaced by the storm and others who quicker than the given date in the cases it can be done. Wiggins' adsl is not all served from one location. It has a dslam in the office with remote dslams in the field. The cables are not all straight line either. A large section of the town is fed by a cable that goes from Vardamen to hwy 26 down another street to a cross box. Then it goes back out to other areas this adds loop distance. |

| reply to andrewparker Typically you will never get a reason why you don't qualify, just that you don't qualify. Being in the middle of town vs on the outskirts doesn't matter one bit.
It just matters how the cables feeding your house are run, and where the dslam is located |
