The WISP pulls you through at least one tower to their NOC, in some cases of the large Star topology WISPs that may be 5, or 10 hops to the NOC, maybe more. If the WISP's Internet feed is equivalent to the DSL ISP's Internet feed then the WISP will have more LAG... there's more hops to the net. In most cases this may be 1ms per tower, but it may be significantly more if they are congested, experiencing interference, or doing significant Non-Line of Site or polling.
