| reply to Bokoo I have just gotten a newshosting account about 1 week ago. And I am quite disappointed with it. At first my top speed was not higher than 450k/s. I thought .. OK.. they are a large server with a lot of users and I can live with this speed. Its been all downhill since then. I am now down to 280k/s or less and my 4 connections keep dropping and reconnecting. I tried dslreports speed test to see if it was my ISP causing the speed problem but its not (1019k/s). So the problem is newshosting. |

1 edit | reply to Tap45 It's been slow for me all weekend. I've noticed that this seems to be a Seattle area problem. Could it be a bottleneck in a server from here to Newshosting? I've switched ports to 9000, 119, 23, and all others listed by Newshosting to no avail. Comcast's news server shows my normal connection speed of 450k, so it's definitely a Newshosting problem. Also, people when you say your speed is fine, please indicate from where. |
