sign the petition if you would like to own a ferret for a pet. I really want one, they are so fun to play with.
That is just sad

If you'd really care for the ferrets, you wouldn't want them to be peoples "pets".
Why, what's the deal?

The dealio is that ferrets do not have any place being in peoples homes as an entertainment piece.

?

How are they different from other animals as pets? I'm genuinely interested. So far you've only reinforced your opinion. Any information on why?

I don't think anybody wants them for that, pets bring love, happiness and peace to a house, where did the entertainment slant come in?

Animals should be in their own habitat or what’s left of it. Trying to adapt/confine them to our surroundings and lifestyle is very cruel. Almost all “pet” birds, turtles, fishes and ferrets are caged/enclosed in small tanks for the duration of their lives.

Dogs, cats, lamas, etc are another story but no one here cares

I think you are getting this mixed up, we're all talking about (at least I thought we were?) animals born and raised in captivity, not taking wild animals and putting them into a house, I agree that would be wrong too.
