Reinstall Zone Alarm Then Follow THis
using the /clean switch. go double click on the zone alarm in the system tray then on zone alarm; go to over view tab on the left then to preferances on the right; uncheck load zone alarm/pro/plus at start up. uncheck the protect zone alarm/pro/plus client. reboot computer....... go to start then to programs then to accessories then to command prompt. C:\Documents and Settings\Owner>cd c:\ C:\Documents and Settings\Owner>cd program files C:\Program Files>cd zone labs C:\Program Files\Zone Labs>cd zonealarm C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm>zauninst.exe /clean C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm> follow the prompts. then go make sure the C:\Program Files\Zone Labs if this folder exist delete it. then go to C:\WINDOWS\Internet Logs if this folder exist delete it.
Reboot then Upgrade to the New Version Personaly i think 4.5 would be beter but maybee they worked bugs out of the new version.

| OK, I can reinstall it from a CD and follow the first two items, however Windows 2000 (on that machine) does not have a command prompt function. Is it called recovery console in Win2K ?
