| Re: Adding XP Pro with eMachines T3406 I spent some time with the emachines customer support and they were quite helpful. When i tried recovering the machine using their recover CD, i ran into the same issue. Maybe it is because in my attempt to install another OS i deleted what might have been a restore partition. I cannot get back the microsoft money that came bundled with this machine now even using the "restore" CD!!! Thought that was pretty crappy restore process.
Anyway if you try to do re-install/re-cover operations and end up with a couple of your devices not working (for me it was usb,video,audio,fax,network), then go to the following website

and you should find the drivers for all the devices. i installed all the downloads in the driver section and everything but the modem got recognized just fine.
