[SunRocket] Sunrocket with Fios fiber service from Verizon?

Hello out there. Is anyone using Sunrocket Voip with Fios broadband from Verizon? Mine didn't work and the rep with Sunrocket said there is no compatibility with Fios. I'm hoping that they were wrong and someone is making it work. Can anyone out there help me?

It works. I've used SunRocket on Fios since I got it in May. Did you really question this?

I got a similar boatload from a new Packet8 rep a while back. »Re: [Packet8] New Features coming...WHEN???

Where do they find these people?

Try to put the Gizmo behind a router. Should work then. I use a WRT54G Linksys router with Qos enabled by HyperWRT.

Thanks to cbrain and rickowens,

My Sunrocket works like a champ now. Just put the Gizmo behind the Fios router.

If you have to place the ATA in front of the router, then it is time to replace your router with a good router that is friendly to voip.

"no compatibility?" cannot be far from truth.
I have been using it in the last 6 month and
verizon fios is rock-solid. I only have good
things to say about it.

Sunrocket has told me that:

1) Their website only works with Internet Explorer, and that I should search the internet for the Linux version of MSIE
2) Their website works with any web browser
3) Their website works with any PC that has Windows XP
4) Their site works with anything and they suggest Firefox because it "has good reviews"

The type of connection does not matter, if it has an ethernet port, transmits data using TCP/IP, ping to the first hop less than 100ms and you have at least 90kbps of bandwidth then it will work.
