Speed slower with new modem

Click for full size
I have been having connection issues with frequent disconnects so yesterday a tech came out out to replace my webstar with an old sb4200. Connection issue resolved BUT my download is now 1/2 of what it used to be Called comcast a sec ago and CSR said that everything looked fine. Hmmmm I used to get almost 8 megs down with the webstar and the sb4200 isn't cutting it for the new speeds it seems. Is the 4200 new speed compatible even????

Frequency 609000000 Hz Locked

On the same modem page you got that info from - click on the HELP tab - and it should show you your firmware version at the top of the page.

Your modem has DOCSIS 1.0 firmware which can limit your download speed. Call tech support to see if they can update it to a DOCSIS 1.1 firmware or consider a new modem.

You ain't gonna believe this crap......I have just about had it now. I am calling Qwest later or a reseller for dsl, and at least look at that as an option.
Yeah they sent a tech out today, and he was a contractor. On his paperwork, it listed a equipment pickup for my DVR!!! wtf!?!??!?!? I just HAD that installed Tuesday when I had the modem swap! He didn't even have a modem with him....what the hell are the CSR's doing? I'm calling and raising holy hell. Also, he said that Bedrock has been having HUGE problems, as I figured as I was offline for a LONG time after the modem swap tuesday as provisioning was not working at all. The tech that day said Bedrock was offline......so, i'm on the 8meg gold tier, I am getting 3.3 max down on a Modem that's ancient and only has 1.0 firmware. What the heck is going on Comcast!?!?!??!? Oh, the tech also gave me the # for the central office here LOL I like this guy lol

Just swapped out modems, they have me a 5100, which I am iffy on as I had trouble with one before. As long as it remains stable. Fastest tech I have seen, 3 minutes flat lol
