Rogers sux

This review is completely, 100% accurate. I moved into a student area recently and ordered Rogers Extreme. Everything was great until the students moved in... at that point my bandwidth dropped to 30down 10 up. We communicated for 3 months and had at least 5 techs come out. None of them had more knowledge than I do and none of them did ANYTHING. They all tested the line strength.. said it was "within acceptable limits" and left.

This is where we get mad... they expect us to pay 50 bucks a month for a 5 dollar service. They STILL have a ticket open on our complaint but we've moved to a new ISP. (execulink DSL..Pretty good!)

After 5 months of BS they still have no idea why they can't get a stronger signal to us.. but i know why!

The signal strength has something to do with your speed but its not the only thing that dicatates speed. signal strength is a rateing of the signal which is still Radio frequency. that being if the signal is week, that means the signal is quiet. also if the signal is too strong it means the signal is too loud, that also hinders the internet. its like listening to music, if it is too queit you may need to listen to it again to hear what they are saying, and also if it is too load, you may not hear it because it is too load, so you need to listen to it again to understand what they are saying. that is signal strength. I am a rogers tech.

If you really are and happen to be his area, will you verify the slow speeds and maybe look into why if its not his modem strength? I always check mine myself before calling my isp so I can let them know it's ok and another issue. You are probably more aware of these complaints as it does say you are a member here. Anything that can be done for some of these people at all? If this is not your field could you kindly refer them to someone who can help? I commend you if you really are a Rogers tech to have the guts to admit it to these people lol. I hope you have the guts to help them too.
