I got it too. Who cares about Starz though? One thing that was not addressed is when it will be available to the consumer. Some time in the next five years, if ever? -- -- Who drank has died, who drinks will die; is he immortal who is sober? -- -- I started out with nothing, I still have most of it -- |

| FYI: I called today. They are going to start a test in a neighborhood west of 610 loop within a few weeks. I didn't get specifics about the exact location, but I would guess, a town home complex, highrise building, near the galleria. I asked about the midtown location, and he said hopefully they can begin rolling out their services in 30-60 days to other locations.
Their fiber is above ground, connected via utility lines. |

| reply to CO_Chris Mr. XXXXX,
First of all, thank you for signing up at getfision.com. Our prices will be very competitive and value oriented. We are in the process of launching our test community here in Houston. As you can probably appreciate, Houston is very competitive in TV, Phone and Internet. Because we are one provider of incredible content and data services for all three Triple-Play Plus services, we want to keep our prices a SECRET for a few more weeks. However, let me say this:
I spoke to an eager getfision.com sign-up customer just like you the other day and he told me he was paying $185.00 per month for Cable TV, Cable Broadband and Phone service per month!
And this is with only one premium channel HBO!
I can assure you, well beat that number by a minimum $50.00 every day! Keep looking for more announcements soon!
I look forward to having you as a FISION subscriber and feel free to email me anytime. I typically respond within 24-hours.
Very best regards, |

2 edits | reply to CO_Chris I ran in to some one from Phonoscope and he told me that the fiber in pearland has been here for 6 months and its all ready to go live but he said that all he knows it was for hooking up the city to HSID first way back when. That was one of the things the fiber is used for 25 years ago. I pulled up the site at work and showed him and asked a few ?? and he said For the color on the map is all live fiber and is up and running the blue is there lines and the other colors is a pole sharing thing but he had no answer for when it will all go live yet for us.It seems like they are keeping the guys on the street out of the loop |

| reply to CO_Chris As I was walking to the van for the ride home, I saw these orange spray painted lines across the side walk indicating underground cable, pipes etc. The painted lines stopped just short of some bushes that had lost most of their leaves. Peering through the branches I see a metal post in the ground with a orange metal sign on it. "Phonoscope Fiber Optic Cable" then some call information. I got a great chuckle at that. Nice I can get high speed internet and cable TV at work. Woooo Hooo! |

| Awesome! I'm thinking my chances of getting this service are very slim, but I'll still keep some hope. That's assuming this service even starts up. You'd think some hype-building would've started about now? |

| Spoke to TPTB yesterday. According to them, there will be no big "media blitz" ad campaign. Instead, the residents of each neighborhood they turn-up will will received emails (if previously signed up) or be targeted in a direct-marketing campaign.
The NW side should be the first area to start. |

Thanks |
