Tivo like recording options on a PC you say....haven't we had that for quite some time now?

Being able to transfer the recordings to your Tivo box would be a nice feature though.

TiVo like but not TiVo.
You can transfer MPeg2 recordings to TiVo BTW.
This actually looks like a joint venture between Intel and TiVo.

The goal of ViiV seems to be to use Intel hardware and MS DRM.

If it's anything like Centrino, it'll be wildly popular. I bet if you surveyed the general population, an overwhelming majority will tell you that that Intel invented "wireless Internet."

Hmm...using MS DRM...that's a sure fire way to kill it.
