Re: fision Internet/ tv / Dig phone

You can read these articles here for more details.

They have had a beta going on in the cy-fair area since the oct-nov time frame (400 HOMES). They will be announcing initial deployment areas in December.

They are using phonoscope's fiber network »www.phonoscope.com

They will offer 1 Gbps total to each home (according to interviews). Total iptv solution.

They are sponsoring this months fiber to the house council meetings (dec 5-7). I am hoping for some service area announcements this week. »www.ftthcouncil.org/

Frankly, I don't care if these guys only end up being a blip on twc or sbc's radar if they can deliver fiber, iptv and kick ars internet speeds to my home (assuming they can stay in business, I am an ex-voomer so I know all about that).

I am not saying you can take this to the bank either (since they have not even officially deployed yet), but for those of us who live in Houston and are served by SBC (most of us), this is the best shot we have at getting fiber in the near future.
