Hi RClink,

Thank you and just 2 questions:

1) How do you find out what is the firmware version?
2) Your pap2.pdf states that there is an alternative version - I believe that you are referring to XML version - I bought mine just a month ago and it has the MAC & S/N wrtten on the box - does this mean that I should go for the alternative method? Do you have the pdf instructions for it too? Will both method works on mine?

Thanks

1. Secure your network from the Internet. That means to unplug your cable modem or DSL modem. Don't let your PAP2 see the internet.

2. Plug in your PAP2 to a hub with a PC. Use the PC to open the Web page on the PAP2. The firmware version is on the top-right of the page.

3. Remember to unhook your PAP2 prior to hooking up your Internet connection again.

It is unlikely that you will need the XML unlock technique. The XML unlock technique is this: If your PAP2 has firmware version 2.0.9, you can use a plain-text XML to unlock it, without changing the firmware. If you have any firmware version newer than 2.0.9, then you need to use the unlocking guide (PDF) to do the trick..
