Re: POP server problems, please help

have you tried telnetting into the pop server to see what it says? telnet to pop.swbell.yahoo.com port 110. (see instructions at »www.yuki-onna.co.uk/email/pop.html)

Re: POP server problems, please help

No, I haven't tried it. At this moment I'm getting my emails just fine. But later on, I'll start getting the same message that I posted above even though I haven't messed with any settings on my computer. I just hope it gets fixed. I wonder if I need to post about this at the SBC Direct?

Re: POP server problems, please help

That's why I was wondering if you'd tried it. Please do, so you can see if you're getting the same message: -ERR maildrop not available.

If you are getting that message when trying to telnet to the mail server, then yes--definitely post in SBC Direct.

Draco-

Could you give step by step directions to telnet into the mailserver? I'd like to try it and see what happens.

If you could, PM me the logfile from your client, this is actually being investigated by us and Yahoo.
