| [Connectivity] CC hsi goes offline at night,south east FL not CA
Well I am having a minor problem as far as my general service is after Wilmas aftermath, she totally wrecked my new condo & I recently moved from Deerfield Beach,33441; to Davie/Plantation 33324 . When I first moved I changed modems to a brand new motorola sb5101 & picked up a digital cable box. Since I have had few if any problems in the past 5 years with the local cable co, cont.,at&tbb,ect & this new location the cable never lost service from standard cable tv. Heres the thing , I have been moved in since the week before thanksgiving & it connected fine & the ping was nice but in the past 7-10 days it has been weird, normally in the early evening from 6pm-11 pm & once it shuts off & the 4 lights aren't all on & the second to the top is flashing , then the service will be down untill i wake up at like 6-7 am . I guess u can call it intermittent d/c's but even with trying to unplug for a while & plug in it does not have a connection for 6-8hrs at a time. Also my digital cable does not work on the pay channels higher than standard cable ,no on demand says cannot connect to server & that is the same time my hsi is down , so they want to send a guy here which I don't want to do to take time from ppl that really need it since I have some service its not that big of a deal. What I would like to know if anyone has had this issue or knows how to term the problem right & a suggestion on how approach it on some kind of cc tech support. Maybe I do need to have a guy come out to put like a signal cable line amp in or somthing .I am not a computer wiz but I still like to play ut & quake , dl music ,ect . Since I 'm out west maybe that is to blame that there is a weak connection that shuts off ,or because it is a area where there is alot of condos & they have a special contract with comcast & with some unicorp cable tv coordinator so they all get standard basic cable with no boxes & I only have to pay like an extra 25 a month for digital box ,hbo, on demand & of course 45 for hsi, also I can't get dsl through bellsouth to far away from the co , any help or advice would be cool, thanks. |
