| [Rant] PayPal payment type
I always use my credit card to pay using PayPal.... Except for the last time when I didn't correctly change the payment type from the default bank account
:(:(
I called PayPal. They can't reverse the transaction - fine.
I asked them to tell me how to change my default payment type from bank account to credit card - there is none.
Why not? Because that's what's printed in the user agreement.
Obviously, I'm not going to stop using PayPal, but creating a way to change the default payment type should not be a big issue. |

| They keep it that way for a reason. Credit cards can be charged back. Bank accounts typically cannot. By defaulting to checking accounts, they have more of a guarantee on funding. -- Mospaw.com. -- |

A chargeback puts the burden to perform back on the seller very quickly. |

| I use a debit card which is funded by my registered checking account. I usually (when I remember) use the debit card for exactly the same reasons. Even though it's a debit card, I still get a little extra protection. -- Mospaw.com. -- |
