| [video] Canon in D Minor - TSO Style
Haven't seen this in here, but can't guarantee it isn't a repost.
Even if it is. It will remain awesome.

Could you just imagine playing that song during commencement instead of the normal version? Heads would roll, but I think it would be cool.
That guy is very talented!
Here is his website, plus you could download the songs he plays! Just go to VIDEO. The site is in both Japanese & English.

| reply to Italia3 whoah ... his site isn't in Japanese, that's Mandarin Chinese. Be careful not to confuse the two, as each group tends to get quite feisty if you mistake one for the other. Somehow Google has both the guy and the girl as Japanese. I only know a few words and characters in Mandarin and nothing in Cantonese, but I definitely could pick out some of the words I know in there and on Fenghua's site as well. -- There is no place in a fanatic's head where reason can enter. -Napoleon |

Heads would roll, but I think it would be cool. I think I may actually play it as the "exit" song for my wedding on December 30th. No joke. Going to play the classical version as the march for the bridesmaids and groomsment to walk down, but when me and my bride leave...we're gonna rock.
Edit: And for full credit, we're going to have the entire video, including his name on giant projection screens.
Edit2: On the other hand, I may wish to use the original TSO version of this. Does TSO play the exact same guitar solo for their instrumental version? I've never been able to find it. |

| reply to ProtusMose The guy's nothing special. Young he may be but there are better out there at his age. The Japanese girl was much better with better technique and playing an original piece of music.
This clip is Jason Becker, taken round about 1988 (when he was 18 I believe.) A child prodigy, he was already teaching his guitar teacher by the age of 12 and had recorded his first LP at 17. He went on to play with Dave Lee Roth for a short while until being struck down by a totally incapacitating muscle diease (ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease.) Now he can only move his eyes
Check out his site, and if you have any compassion in your soul, feel free buy some of his stuff.
