I started with an installation of Arch Linux. This is what I use to this day. It has a very nice package management system, pacman, and it is relatively easy to set up if you know what you are doing in a sense. By this I mean, you'll learn a decent amount about how the system works and its config files. It's optimized for faster processors so you might see a bit better performance. Read their installation guide, it's only a few steps and after partions are set up, you'll be up in running in 30 mins. |
