[DISH] Dish Network Satellite Thru SBC In a Condo

Yeah I was reading SBC/Dish network faq, and I come across this, yet they let us install this service in January, but now it says on SBC's FAQ area this

SBC does not currently offer SBC | DISH Network service to customers who rent, lease or own an apartment, condominium, townhouse, duplex, or other multiple-dwelling unit (MDU).

So I'm wondering are they gonna force us to switch to another provider sometime, or can we stay with SBC/Dish Network for a long time.

we are paying a mortage for this Condo, so just starting this thread to make sure we can keep this service or not.

Why don't you call SBC/Dish and ask them? Since they wrote the FAQ, I am sure that they are a better source for the answer.

WTF is SBC thinking? At the VERY least, owner-occupied duplexes and fee-simple (non-condo) townhomes should be no problem...the rules that apply to these types of properties are pretty much the same as what would apply to a detached single-family home.

I called he said as long as it's a Ranch/Condo association approves it, then they will put them in, as for townhomes and apartments, no idea on those..but I taught I'd call and check it out to be sure.

he also stated, don't worry we're not gonna turn off your service..been almost a year.

I think this applies to new installations only. You shouldn't worry if you already have the service.
