[SunRocket] Overseas usage? "Germany"

I know the codec is much greater than most, but I am looking to allow my family to call everyone back in the US as they are going to Germany for 3 years, for work related stuff. I would like to know of any users that have heard of SR being used overseas, and in Germany would be even better.

Also I have heard that you don’t get good tech support when they know you are overseas, so if anyone can recommend good hardware to use with the SR items, and if possible a good ISP. I have been looking at 1&1 in Germany.

If you don't get good info relative SR, please note that Nuvio has no restrictions on overseas usage ... their $15/month plan includes unlimited usage between Nuvio phone numbers. Nuvio support is excellent, and first level support is located in Nuvio HQ office, not outsourced overseas. Hardware would have to be shipped to a USA address. Any professional and responsible ISP in Germany should be fine.

Sunrocket works anywhere in the world. Make sure they have a broadband connection, and you'll be just fine. My family is from Germany. I call my Mom with the int'l call allowance, but sent my sister a Sunrocket adapter so we can talk without limits. Awesome quality.

I had a client of mine who moved his family to Mexico (West Coast, close to Encinada.) They got broadband for $30 and Sunrocket for $199/yr. They call their family here in Tampa every day and quality is crystal clear.

Your family would love it, IMO. If they only call you they could go with the $9.95 plan. If they call other friends around the US the $199.00/15 month plan would probably be the best, unless they can use the 2 free Uniden phones. In that case it would be $199/12 months with the 2 free phones.
