| [Other] F5D7050 Driver Fix
This post is in response to error code 10 issues in xp sp2 that people have been having with this device when the original driver cd is lost and drivers from belkins site are the only option, which do not work. You need to get the Ralink Drivers off their site, for this device, the rt2500 chipset, and install their program. Driver folder will now be located in the install directory for Ralink, copy this folder and paste it to your desktop. Now, uninstall the ralink program. Restart and then find the VID and PID for your belkin product (in device manager), open up driver folder and modify rt2500.inf file and put proper VID and PID's in. now plug in and install from a specific location, and choose the rt2500.inf file you just modified, that should do it! |

1 edit | I just bought the F5D7050 Wireless USB adapter. It was version v3000, and belkin website had a driver dated 12/22/2005. The driver works flawlessly even on my WinXP Pro SP2 system, so if you have a v3000 at least, there's no need to mess around with another driver.
Be sure to select "F5D7050v3" when you are in their support website. I wish they fix this to avoid confusion. |

Before you download look at the bottom of the box and look for the version number.
Make sure you download the right version for your device to prevent problems from arising. |

| reply to snoopdizzle Thanks A LOT. My device was working perfectly yesturday. Plugged it in today....nothing...yellow exclamation. Tried this and it worked perfectly. Not only do I not have to install that stupid wireless utility but it now works with wireless zero configuration. I think the problem was caused by my connecting to my home network through my lan card and windows updated itself and caused the problem. I dont see any other possible explanation for this. |

| reply to snoopdizzle Yup, hacked the 2500usb.inf with the correct vendor and model and it worked.
I can't get the card to work in 802.11g mode though. I have 2 computers, a notebook with and Atheros AR5005VL chipset and my desktop with the Belkin adapter. They only connect at 802.11b speeds |
