 Read today's Star Ledger. Verizon has filed franchise apps for 5 towns: Demarest, Park Ridge, Passaic, Hightstown and Red Bank. They also are adding about 21 more towns for Fios wiring.

Funny how they still haven't announced an Essex County town yet.

A federal law may pass before the state one. It is S.1504 and would create national franchise agreements that would usurp all state and local rules for TV franchises.
