that it is. While I do not hope the guy driving the motorcycle is dead, he if badly injored did deserve it. Because most people on those kind of bikes tend to go to fast, and be dumb about doing it. Simple cause and effect. Sadly that other car got involved.

From damage alone it does look like he was going 90+ MPH. Got to remember a bike only weighs around 400lbs, it takes a LOT of speed to cause that much damage.

That's country's emergency services must really suck.

At least 7 minutes went by, and you couldn't even hear sirens at 7:14 of the video.

It looked like a less-populated area, but given the amount of traffic passing by, they could not have been to far from a populated place.

I couldn't find the actual country by the license plate of the car (BV...), but BY is Belarus. That would explain much.

I couldn't find the country of origin either from the car tag. My guess would have been Germany though.

Well I think usual respones time for Fire and EMS to respond here in America is about 4-7 minutes depending on location. I am a volunteer firefighter and that is our usual respones time to roll a truck. Usually cops are on location first.

Also by the looks of the video the accident just happend like a minute or two before the guy started filming, the engine on the bike was still smoking. And given the rural location it would take some time for help to get there. It always seems to take forever when you are there waiting too.

hmmm. they could have been pretty far out.

1) she t-boned him.

2) he was awfully close to the car for him to have been going 90. he was moving, but probably closer to 60-65.

3) if he'd have been my moto buddy, or even just another cycle rider, i'd have stayed next to him till either the ambulance or coroner came. it's not right just letting him lie there like that, alone.

Doubtful that 60-65 from a bike would cause that type of damage.. if you look at the roof it is smashed in, that is most likely where the rider hit, which is why he didn't go that far. It could of been a head-on collision type of thing, the car could of swerved which caused him to hit the side.

I am amazed at how the people in the car got injured.

That looked nasty. I never liked motorcycles myself. I heard too many horror stories from my mother when she was alive about what some of those guys look like after an accident. She worked in a hospital for 30 years. This is one reason. If you thought that was disturbing you'd better not go to ogrish.com then.

Looks like he died, I thought I heard one of the 2 guys say "spirit" when they were checking him out for a heart beat.

I bet your Mom saw a lot more people die from car accidents.

I always find it funny when people say "I'll never ride a motorcycle cause I know someone who died in a bike wreck" yet the same people would never give up driving a car when a loved one dies in a car wreck.

Because the odds are many times as great to die from an auto crash. Motorcycles have no protection other than the helmet, and if you want to call your riding leathers protection.

A friend of mine owns a Suzuki dealership in town. Hes only owned it for the past two years, but in that time I have seen probably 30 - 40 wrecked bikes . None of the accidents were fatal as far as we knew . Saw most of them coming back in to buy new bikes except one guy. He was going around 70 -75 his estimate when he hit a deer on a rural road. He was wearing full leathers and a helmet which is probably what saved his life. He had lots of broken bones in his upper body but other than that he was ok. Anyway to the point. I have seen some bikes come into the shop with some amazing damage, but I have never seen damage like the bike in the video. I saw numerous car vs bike accidents come in and I never saw damage like in the video. Most of the speed estimates we got from the riders were in the 60 - 80 mph range . So based on the bikes that I have seen I would estimate this poor guys speed close to if not more than 100mph . I am FAR from a crash invistagor though so anyones quess is as good as mine.

I ride for a living.

I only got about 2 minutes into the video, but it looks like the driver of the car was at fault, in that it appears (based on location of the car, and most damage to the car, as well as the location of the yellow bike) that the car made a left turn in front of the bike.

Darkworlds, stow it. Most bike crashes happen because drivers in "cages" (cars & trucks) don't pay attention to what's going on around them, and so don't see the bike until it's too late. I ride a black & white motorcycle with yellow flashing lights on the front, and I still hear people say "I didn't see you."

One of my co-workers got hit a couple of months ago, totalling the bike. Bike black Honda Goldwing. Yellow and white strobes on the front. He's wearing a safety yellow vest. Woman coming out of a driveway looked right at him, and still made a left turn across him.

It's not usually the biker's fault.

It's not usually the biker's fault.

I was riding my bicycle one time in college around sometime during 1997. A day in September I believe , about 3AM coming home from a party.

I probably did have more to drink then the law would allow, so I decided hastily that it was probably better to ride my bike home then to drive. A good decision, but I guess in the end, I should have walked. The area wasn't the best in terms of the crime, but it wasn't the pits either. I just didn't want to get jumped on the way home, as I had a good 2 miles to go. I could do it on my bike in about 5 minutes, cutting through sections I knew, especially with the adrenaline/beer buzz I had. Walking would have taken a good deal longer, since I would have had to stay on heavily traveled roads/sidewalks as to try and avoid getting mugged.

I'm an avid mountain biker, and used to do BMX freestyle as a kid, but I'm not an expert by any means nor would being an expert be an exucse to do anything drunk.

Well, not to bore anyone with the details, but I decided to ride on the sidewalk (illegal in this jurisdiction) going the wrong way on a one-way street. Pedaling like an M.F., I was probably doing a good 25-30mph.

A car coming out of an alley which emptied onto my sidewalk didn't stop for its stop sign that was located just before it entered the sidewalk part. I saw it, but between his lack of stopping and my delayed reactions, it was too late. I don't even remember if I even hit the brakes, but I hit the car - t-boned them really bad right at the right front wheel well, and I flew over the car and through the air about 40 feet, doing at least 2 flips in the air, landing on the sidewalk in between a huge oak tree and a metal fence.

After realizing I was completely uninjured in every aspect, I walked back the distance to the car, amazed how far I went and how I wasn't killed. My bike was wrecked. Bent the frame, front and rear wheels looked like Easter eggs. I looked at the car and it looked like it got into an accident with another car, much less a bicycle. Realzing that the other driver also had too much to drink, we mutually decided to go our own way and pretend it didn't happen.

The point I'm trying to make out of my long story is that sometimes it is the biker's fault.

That being said, this video clip was a bit disturbing. The lifelessness of the biker sort of leads me to believe that he is no longer with us.

I ride not for a living but in the last three months there have been 4 deaths and it is a cage making left or right turns in front of someone. Not to mention the pulling out in front of you, going over the line, and general "I am bigger than you attitude."

I don't feel one bit sorry for bikers that get creamed on the roadway. You know what you're getting into when you buy a bike. I'm so sick of moronic sport bike riders that think it's "cool" to pass in between lanes, do wheelies, cut off cars, and do double or triple the posted limit. I see it all the time. Some of these guys deserve to get wrecked...screw the excuses that people don't see you on the road

And I'm so sick of moronic teenies who drive their boom box ricers at double or triple the speed limit, weave in and out of traffic, change lanes directly in front of you at a intersection because the lane is empty and they gotta be first one out when the light changes, don't make full stops, etc. Some of those guys desirve to get wrecked.

(mod note- there aren't enough warnings in the world to make that one ok to post-tmpchaos)

There has been plenty of video's of people dieing in accidents in here.

I didn't post a graphic video of mangled body parts or anything, I don't see the problem.

They show far worse videos in some driving classes, this type of thing teaches people to slow down (especially when there are other cars).

There are several points in the video where you can see that the guy's face is really f-ed up and swollen. Also his entire right side is deformed. The only thing keeping him in one piece is his power-ranger suit. That video even bothered me.

Ok, maybe its just me but what S.O.B decided walking around with a camera at a time like this was a good idea?

Anyway, remind me not to go there on vacation and get hurt, not only is there zero emergency help, but the people seem to be more concerned about wandering around doing nothing that helping.

About 15 years ago, I started to race a KZ900 with my Buick Grand National, but took my foot out of it at about 70 MPH after it was clear the bike was way faster than me.

The guy on the bike continues to accelerate hard and tries to beat a light that I saw turn to yellow.

I estimate he was probably doing about 120 MPH when He T-Bones a Poor lady in a Pontiac Grand Am who never saw him coming.

Both of them were killed, and the Pontiac was bent in half as if it slid sideways into a telephone pole.

The wreckage looked alot like the one in that video, except the rider was almost unrecognizable.

Me thinks you just admitted to being an accessory in a manslaughter case and I know in some states there is no statute of limitations on manslaughter.
Hmm....be careful what you say.

Re: [video] Disturbing Motorcycle crash (aftermath

The motorcycle guy is dead. This accident happened in Romania.
Based on the Hwy. code there, and if the signs are not requiring otherwise, the vehicle coming from the RIGHT - has priority to enter an intersection / junction (even if there are no signs). The vehicle is hit on the right, which leads me to think that it didn't gave way to the motorcycle. On the other hand, the motorcycle, based on the size of the impact on the car, was speeding. Apparently the mother of the driver is also not breathing. Nasty accident, and I think the driver of the car will go to jail any way.

I lost a friend in a motorcycle accident around this time last year.
He was going too fast and the girl that pulled out in front of him to make a left didn't clear the intersection in time for him to get by.
T-Boned, and that was the end.
Here's what I have to say on the subject:
Yes, motorcycles can be dangerous.
So can cars, horses, bikes, and feet.
Sometimes people die doing nothing wrong.
Sometimes people die and it is absolutely their fault without question.
Hug your family, kiss your kids, and tell your significant others that you love them as often as you can remember to say the words. Just because you woke up today and the sun was shining, doesn't mean that there aren't clouds on the horizon. Anything can happen at any time. Be thankful for what you have, pray for the people involved in that video and hope there are no clouds up ahead for any of you that are reading this.

Peace.
