I couldn't find the country of origin either from the car tag. My guess would have been Germany though. -- We don't take cash, we take coo-puns! hehehehe |

This thread should be deleted... No point in looking at a video of a dead body lying on the ground... I doubt his loved ones would allow it if they could do anything about it. -- Anything more than a handful is for the other hand |

I didn't post a graphic video of mangled body parts or anything, I don't see the problem.

| reply to Vamp Ok, maybe its just me but what S.O.B decided walking around with a camera at a time like this was a good idea?
Anyway, remind me not to go there on vacation and get hurt, not only is there zero emergency help, but the people seem to be more concerned about wandering around doing nothing that helping. -- |

About 15 years ago, I started to race a KZ900 with my Buick Grand National, but took my foot out of it at about 70 MPH after it was clear the bike was way faster than me.
The guy on the bike continues to accelerate hard and tries to beat a light that I saw turn to yellow.
I estimate he was probably doing about 120 MPH when He T-Bones a Poor lady in a Pontiac Grand Am who never saw him coming.
Both of them were killed, and the Pontiac was bent in half as if it slid sideways into a telephone pole.
The wreckage looked alot like the one in that video, except the rider was almost unrecognizable. |

| reply to Omega said by Omega :That's country's emergency services must really suck. At least 7 minutes went by, and you couldn't even hear sirens at 7:14 of the video. It looked like a less-populated area, but given the amount of traffic passing by, they could not have been to far from a populated place. Well I think usual respones time for Fire and EMS to respond here in America is about 4-7 minutes depending on location. I am a volunteer firefighter and that is our usual respones time to roll a truck. Usually cops are on location first.
Also by the looks of the video the accident just happend like a minute or two before the guy started filming, the engine on the bike was still smoking. And given the rural location it would take some time for help to get there. It always seems to take forever when you are there waiting too. -- "Shut up brain or I'll stab ya with a Q-Tip"- Homer Simpson |

i think even more disturbing than the video are the people posting saying he deserved it or all bikers deserve what they get. |

To me, I think the biker guy and that old woman were both dead. It's weird, it looks like rigamorits already started to set in on the biker guy but I don't think it can happen that fast. |

Me thinks you just admitted to being an accessory in a manslaughter case and I know in some states there is no statute of limitations on manslaughter. Hmm....be careful what you say. |

| The motorcycle guy is dead. This accident happened in Romania. Based on the Hwy. code there, and if the signs are not requiring otherwise, the vehicle coming from the RIGHT - has priority to enter an intersection / junction (even if there are no signs). The vehicle is hit on the right, which leads me to think that it didn't gave way to the motorcycle. On the other hand, the motorcycle, based on the size of the impact on the car, was speeding. Apparently the mother of the driver is also not breathing. Nasty accident, and I think the driver of the car will go to jail any way.

said by jjjayb :said by Tommyastro :I always find it funny when people say "I'll never ride a motorcycle cause I know someone who died in a bike wreck" yet the same people would never give up driving a car when a loved one dies in a car wreck. I lost a friend in a motorcycle accident around this time last year. He was going too fast and the girl that pulled out in front of him to make a left didn't clear the intersection in time for him to get by. T-Boned, and that was the end. Here's what I have to say on the subject: Yes, motorcycles can be dangerous. So can cars, horses, bikes, and feet. Sometimes people die doing nothing wrong. Sometimes people die and it is absolutely their fault without question. Hug your family, kiss your kids, and tell your significant others that you love them as often as you can remember to say the words. Just because you woke up today and the sun was shining, doesn't mean that there aren't clouds on the horizon. Anything can happen at any time. Be thankful for what you have, pray for the people involved in that video and hope there are no clouds up ahead for any of you that are reading this.
Peace. |
