Strange thing was that my test results were faster last week and my tweak tests all showed good except for a consistent 1+ second stall sometimes even 2+ seconds stall. Now I get a message saying I need to set my MTU to 1500. I did this with Dr. TCP, saved, shutdown, restarted and I still get the same message. I still get the stalling.
What should I do??
TIA for any help- Really. |

Pull your VOIP adapter and retest please. Speed test closer to you from: »www.speakeasy.net/speedtest -- Computer Consulting for the Next Generation. |

| Hi ,
I appreciate the reply. I tested with and without the Sunrocket VOIP adapter in place.
Speakeasy Seattle WA- w/o Sunrocket Adapter 2005-12-21 04:17:06 EST: 5389 / 354 Your download speed : 5389 kbps or 673.7 KB/sec. Your upload speed : 354 kbps or 44.3 KB/sec.
Speakeasy Atlanta GA (Closest to Nashville)- w/o SR adapter 6183 UP/ 361 DN
Speakeasy Seattle WA- with Sunrocket Adapter 5057 UP/356 DN
Speakeasy Atlanta GA (Closest to Nashville)- with SR adapter 6184 UP/ 361 DN
The VOIP adapter seems to have an affect on performance. More so the further away the test. Why?
Also, my test results are better in general today as opposed to last night. Any ideas?
With the SR adapter disconnected the MTU warning goes away, however, I still get the 1+ stall. Is there anything I can do for either or both? |

| The VOIP adapter is most likely eating up bandwidth communicating with the companies servers. As for the 1 second stall I wouldn't worry about it, traffic is most likely cause of it. -- Computer Consulting for the Next Generation. |

| said by Lanik :As for the 1 second stall I wouldn't worry about it, traffic is most likely cause of it. I would not worry about it, but I guess I read the instructions and said, "if the stall persists...." I have never done a tweak test that I didn't get this stall.
What causes it? |
