Re: [Cable] Is there a Broadband for Dummies? Need

So, it is primarily a server issue on which I can not have an effect.

Thanks for the info!

What causes it?
A short delay in sending data.
Is there anything I can do about it on my end?

As for the 1 second stall I wouldn't worry about it, traffic is most likely cause of it.
I would not worry about it, but I guess I read the instructions and said, "if the stall persists...." I have never done a tweak test that I didn't get this stall.

What causes it?

The VOIP adapter is most likely eating up bandwidth communicating with the companies servers. As for the 1 second stall I wouldn't worry about it, traffic is most likely cause of it.

Hi ,

I appreciate the reply. I tested with and without the Sunrocket VOIP adapter in place.

Speakeasy Seattle WA- with Sunrocket Adapter

Speakeasy Atlanta GA (Closest to Nashville)- with SR adapter

The VOIP adapter seems to have an affect on performance. More so the further away the test. Why?

Also, my test results are better in general today as opposed to last night. Any ideas?

With the SR adapter disconnected the MTU warning goes away, however, I still get the 1+ stall. Is there anything I can do for either or both?

Pull your VOIP adapter and retest please. Speed test closer to you from: »www.speakeasy.net/speedtest
