Advice on settings

Somewhat slow download speeds. I've tried several tweaks and seen little improvement. Any help would be appreciated.

Tweak Test:
»/tweakr/···terpppoe

Speakeasy test #1 Chicago
Download Speed: 1154 kbps (144.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 402 kbps (50.3 KB/sec transfer rate)

Speakeasy test #2 New York
Download Speed: 1070 kbps (133.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 400 kbps (50 KB/sec transfer rate)

Line Quality Test:
»/quality/nil/1935747

DSL 1.5/512 Netopia 3341 modem, routerppoe, WinXP with service packs.

I'm around 10,000feet from the CO office. I've used DrTCP already with minor improvements.

•Download DrTCP
•Set TCP Receive Window (RWIN) to 37960
•Leave Windows Scaling, Time Stamping, Selective Acks, Path MTU Discovery and Black Hole Detection default
•Clear TTL and Max Duplicate Acks boxes.
•Hit Save, Exit and Reboot your computer.
•Download a file from here note your speed at 40% and post it in your thread.
•Post another tweak test and best of three speed tests closer to you from here once you reboot your computer.

Tweak test
»/tweakr/···terpppoe

Chicago is the closest to me. I'm in Southern IN

Test#1
Download Speed: 884 kbps (110.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 407 kbps (50.9 KB/sec transfer rate)

Test #2
Download Speed: 1068 kbps (133.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 407 kbps (50.9 KB/sec transfer rate)

Test #3
Download Speed: 884 kbps (110.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 408 kbps (51 KB/sec transfer rate)

I did set the receive window to 37960 despite what the tweak test is showing.

Looks like you're getting the right speed from downloading however your speed tests which are java based are off or even much slower. What version of Java you're using? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?

Unfortunately, I have a Netopia 3341 with usb that acts as the router. The only thing I haven't tried is putting it into bridge mode and then using RASPPPoE or similar program for the PPPoE. Need to read up on it and try it out.
