| reply to d_l said by d_l :Have you had any incoming calls or called yourself with a cell phone to test if the half-ringer will interrupt your sync? If it doesn't affect your DSL, then you are set, and if you ever have a sync problem, you know what to check first. Yes, I called myself this morning. No problems at all. |

| My DSL modem came today and an SBC tech came out to get my lines ready. My pair was bad from house to street and I was on a bad pair to the crossbox. All that has been fixed.
There is a half/ringer in the NID outside..a problem?
The DSL activation date is 12-23. I have the DSL filters installed and hooked up the modem (SS4100) and the DSL light is solid green. Does that mean that if I go ahead and setup my account with SBC it might work? Or should I wait for the DSL tech on Friday?
PS. my statistics page says: Line state: UP modulation: G.dmt Data path: fast
Max allowed speed: 3008 dn. 512 up SN margin: 23.0 line Att.: 20.5 Are those good stats? Thanks |
